I have lived at Laurel Pines for several years. I get angry at reading a recent review that is negative and is disrespectful to the staff. We live in a quiet community. It is not large and we generally do not have a great deal of crime or drama. I believe the office staff is very friendly and willing to assist whenever they can. I often take a visit to the office to see how Samantha and Lisa have been doing. The apartment complex has one, two and three bedroom apartments and it is pet friendly. It has a tennis court and a swimming pool. It has a playground and ample parking. It is a community that was built some years ago and therefore you will not see any of these ammenities in new condition. But then again...they are nice enough and...they are just ammenities. When I applied for this complex I knew that it was an older complex and was not looking at renovations. I love the complex and have continued to renew my lease year after year. I also believe that many of the residents that live here love it. There are people that come to our clubhouse events that have lived here for years and we often here at these events that we are at full occupancy and even have waiting lists at times. I also enjoy the clubhouse get togethers. It gives the community a chance to get to know there neighbors, socialize and talk about the happenings in the community. It even gives us a chance to discuss community concerns. The staff often provide food and entertainment for these events. During the summer time maintenence has even cooked out on the grill. There is also a new shopping center within walking distance. It has a Ukrops, Sams Club, Target, Petstore, Office Supply Store, 2 Electronics stores and plenty of Restaurant's. I say if you want a small community with friendly staff then you should look into Laurel Pines.
