I agree that at times parking can be a bit of a problem. I don't think it is out of control or anything, as some others have suggested. Yes, you only get 1 spot per unit, but there are visitor spots. Yes, it is usually residents parking in them, but there are a fair amount of visitor spots anyway, especially the overflow near the office. Plus, if someone is truly annoyed and owns multiple cars, get a garage unit.
I don't understand the trash problem that some users have mentioned. I've been here close to a year and have only seen a bunch of trash in front of the compactor once... My qualm: I'd like another recycling dumpster. I recycle a heck of a lot more stuff than I throw away, and with the only recycling bin down near the office and my unit at the other end of the complex, the trek can be a bit annoying. Maybe add one by the dumpster near Pennsbury and the problem would be solved.
I like the interior of the apartment. Living on the second floor, we have hard-wood, except in the bedrooms. Plus the kitchen has all energy star appliances, because they were recently rennovated. I have had to have maintenance done once on my apartment. (We overloaded a shelf in the laundry room.) The staff came and fixed it that afternoon and was very polite.
I also feel the office staff has always been curteous to me and my roommate. I don't know why some have complained so heavily. When I had a question about the lease agreement, I talked to Ginger and a man (I forgot his name) in the office and they explained everything clearly for me.
I also had mis-typed some banking information on their new online rent payment, causing me to get a fee. I contacted the office about this, and they waved it when I brought in the routing number and explained it was just a mis-hap. To me, that seemed incredibly reasonable.
Oh, the landscape is fine in my opinion. The pet owners clean up after their dogs, plus there's a fenced in dog park area. I do get annoyed every once in a while about the trees planted near the units: I live in a second floor unit and the trees they have planted tend to scrape my window during the storms. Maybe the inside branches could be trimmed a bit.
My only real complaint I guess, would be when it recently snowed and iced over. The staff could have done more to put salt or something down on the roads to make it safer/easier for the residents.

It may be fine and dandy now but try moving. They lied to me and to the place I was trying to move to saying that I had been late with my rent 7 times in the last 3 years of living there when I had only been late once (and only because I had lost my job).

The overflow parking lot near the office is NOT a good option because cars get broken into there REGULARLY. I've had my friends park down there from time to time and unfortunately two of them have had their cars broken into on two seperate occasions. I will admit the apartments LOOK nice on the surface and they do have new appliances and fixtures but underneath the shiny surface they are buildings from I think the 70's. I had RATS come into the water heater closet in my apartment...I complained about it because i could HEAR THEM FIGHTING in the walls and water closet at night...somebody came out and set traps but I was told there were no rats until eventually one of them made its way into my apartment via the air conditioning intake. The maintenance people trapped the rat in a dog carrier and removed it. Also, when my water heater overflowed and the closet was opened there were 3 or 4 dead rats stuck to one of the sticky traps they had used...YUCK!!!!!

I have a problem with this complex a la carting everything. They have no other reason but to be nice. They are getting bonuses off of their gain and retention.
All of the money that I or we pay to live here, I feel the snow removal should have been professionally conducted. It was a hellacious mess. Further, it is true that the parking is not appropriate. If you have two or three people names on the lease and are paying; then all should have an assigned parking space. This is the most crazy mess that I have ever seen.
My suggestion is to give all lease holders a parking sticker for their car. In do so will not allow a lease holder's car towed. Just plain logical!!!!!!!!!!
My problem with the landscaping is when it rain, my patio is flooded with mud, water, and whatever else seems to flow along. The drain is clogged that causes the water to backup on the central air unit and flow to my patio. What a mess!
