I just renewed my lease; why' because I am happy with my apartment, the complex, the location, the management, etc. I wouldn't have even stumbled onto this site had my friend (a potential tenant) told me about the negative reviews. The apartment complex has had some troubles with previous management (last year), myself included, but NOTHING like the horror stories that are posted here. The have a new staff which includes the property manager. They are courteous, effective, and they LISTEN to residents (which is part of the reason why I renewed). The new manager is always very enthusiastic. The maintenance men are always helpful. I will say that occaisonally it takes them a couple of days to get around to fixing a problem, SOMETIMES (but not for serious cases).
I have to assume that only bitter people or people who have had some trouble post on websites like these. Why, if you're content with where you live, would you take the time to post on here' YOU WOULD BE TOO BUSY BEING HAPPY! I have to wonder if the other apartment complexes' ratings are a bit too good to be true, more than likely they are fabricated. Like I said before I would never have done this had I not been told about it. If you're aprehensive about the apartments, the maintenance, the management- take the time to judge for yourself. Visit the office or the complex or the websites. They just opened a new dog yard, the new building and its views of the city and/or canal are spectacular...
What else can I say' If you're considering the Lofts at Canal Walk or the Upper Lofts go to 20th and Cary and ask to take a tour, and stop listening to bitter (maybe evicted') residents. Just a suggestion, though.

If Nicole is still the property manager, then I would bet this reviewer is actually her...or someone from Main Street Realty.

I agree with that response - I highly question the validity of this posting. It's funny how there's almost 2 years of negative reviews (which are all true), but I know NO ONE who is still living there that isn't waiting for the day their lease is up. If you did get new management, good! You have a LOT of work to do. PS - I wonder how those condos you're trying to sell are going with such a shady reputation in Richmond? I know several people who are avoiding those like the plague. Good luck with that...
