Not perfect, but quite nice

I agree with much of what the previous poster wrote. We have lived here for 4 months. People do drive too fast through the area and this is definitely a doggy-lovers apartment complex. We have a dog ourselves and so that was one of the reasons we chose this complex. One not-so-good thing is the inconsiderate slobs who don't pick after their dogs. The apartment complex provides poopy pouches throughout the complex so there really is no excuse for someone not picking up after their dogs. I've had the misfortune of not paying attention to where I was walking twice and paying the consequence for it so you can see why I'd be upset with those people who left that for me (or someone else) to step in! There's a fenced-in dog park that I take my dog to several times a day. That has been really great to have.
We like our apartment -- it's clean and has a good floor plan with nice decorator touches. The kitchen is nice and spacious (for an apartment) too. We love our little balcony--a very nice touch. The closets are fairly spacious too. They use a flat paint throughout the apartment which we found rather strange. You can't wipe the walls in the kitchen because of that. I have some grease splatters on the wall behind the stove that I cannot remove since the paint is a flat paint. The decor is very neutral but it looks nice.
You can rent a washer/dryer from the apartment for $35 a month--which we chose to do. It's much easier than going to the laundry room at the complex or doing it at a laundromat. We are also renting a garage. That's a bit more expensive than we'd like at $125 per month, but we needed the space so we're biting the bullet and doing it. I just wish it were a bit closer to our apartment.
We have had to call about a couple of maintenance issues and they came and fixed things right away. We also had to complain about the yappy dog upstairs and the office took care of that too (which we were extremely grateful for).
So, like I said in the subject line: it's not perfect, but it's still quite nice.
