My overall experience has been satisfactory. The apartment is extremely small, and hence I am moving out. I was going to refer my friend to stay here, but I changed my mind after speaking to the manager today. I was supposed to pay my rent on 5th, but I did not know the exact amount to pay since it had to be prorated for 20 days. Hence I went to the rental office early morning on 6th, and I was told that I will be charged a late fee. I understand that they have policies, but such inflexible behavior will not have my support. If the rent collection was an automated process, I would have understood. But since it was simple matter of manually accepting the check and keeping it along with the ones in the drop box, I feel I have every right to be annoyed. Hence I decided to ask my friend to move to Crossing at Short Pump, where I will be staying. It has to do with the management, if they think it makes more business sense to charge late fee at the slightest digression, and run the risk of loosing business; well then they are still providing poor customer service.
