Great Apartment in a Great Location on the Southside!

I moved in Match Point back in November and I absolutely love it! Maintenance is always on point and the office staff are not only friendly, but they aren't overly professional like some places which I really enjoy. I love the fact that I can just go to the office and talk a bit with out being rushed out like at previous places I've lived. Parking is pretty good although I live in the front. But even when I come home and don't have a space directly in front of the building its not a big deal. People are acting like just because you have to park in a visitor space every once in a while they are gonna die. Its only a couple of steps from where you would have parked anyway. Matchpoint are doing renovations so when I moved in I got brand new vinyl floors, carpet, kitchen and bathroom cabinets, as well as new glass lighting through out my apartment. I absolutely love this place and I would suggest it to any one who is interested in living on the south side for a good price. Its absolutely worth it!

Yeah, and I bet you are the property manager putting up this crock of crap. Parking is horrible. Between my wife and I we have 2 vehicles and I am not allowed a parking sticker since I am not the lease holder so I have to park in guest parking, which is almost never available. New what!?! I have old cabinets that are falling apart. The white paint on my tile in my shower is peeling off exposing the 20yr old tile which is yellow. (I was told when I moved in it was all brand new tile). Property management professional!?!?! THAT IS THE BIGGEST JOKE EVER! there is a young girl that works in the front office that is supposedly the asst manager which has a bad attitude and is unwilling to work with you no matter how big or small the request is. The property manager herself is barely ever here, ive lived here for 3 years and have only seen her myself a few times. The leasing office never stays open on the hours\days they post that they are supposed to be open. If you need to pay rent dont wait until the last minuite! they wont be there to accept it and they will charge you major late fee's, and no the asst manager will not work with you. To go on with the negative, there is a HUGE blue dumpster sitting infront of my apartment building which takes up all but 2 of my buildings guest parking spots (which im supposed to be parking at because im not the leastholder, my wife is), Ive had to park very far from my building on many occasions with my 2 1\2yr old daughter with me. Oh yeah! When I was trying to move in 3yrs ago they pulled a fast one on me. I had put a deposit down on a 1st floor 2bdrm apartment and a few days before my wife and I were to move in we were told that they had made a mistake and it was no longer available and that we would have to move into a 2nd floor 2bdrm with fire place for $35 more a month. The fireplace is terrible, bee's and wasps somehow make their way into it in the spring\summer time and freezing cold air into the apartment in the winter time. Maintence has refused to do anything about it on SEVERAL occations. I also have water stains on the ceiling in one of the bedrooms which happened over time. Maintence said that they put new shingles on the roof to repair but never fixed the inside. Now where the wall meets the ceiling ther is a 1" gap between the 2 pieces of sheetrock. Also I have lived in many apartments and this one has to have the worst sound proofing ive seen yet. The asst property manager sent me a letter a few weeks ago stating that my rent was going up $30 a month if I renewed my lease. Ofcourse in this terrible place there is no way that will ever happen. My 3 year adenture is not at an end and I am gone as of May 31'st and will never look back. DO YOURSELVES A FAVOR! DONT EVER EVER EVER COME HERE! YOU WILL REGRET IT THE DAY YOU MOVE INTO YOUR APARTMENT.

No actually I'm not the manager but I can say that I am sorry to hear that you feel that way about Match Point but my experience has been great so far but then again I've only been here a few months to your 3 years. If Match Point is so bad why did u stay so long?

I agree w/ btsaumier. Match Point is so-so at best. Three months vs. Three years? The person with three years definitely has a better view of the true experience. To answer the why did u stay so long question: Probably for financial reasons. I done the research -- to stay in a nice (in my definition) apartment community in Richmond a one bedroom will run abt $750 and up. More for a two bedroom. Some cannot afford it. I know I can't right b/c I'm paying for college on my own. Trust me as soon as I graduate, I'm leaving this apt complex and I won't be looking back.
