I dont know what Matchpoint you guys stay at but the Matchpoint i stay it is nothing like that. We move to Matchpoint in 2006 from the Westend We wanted something cheaper. We got a 2 bedroom with fireplace for $600, we got new carpent and floors, i loved it, i also love that the office let me see the apartment before i sign my lease, most places dont let you see the apartment until you sign the lease, and if anything is wrong with it, to bad the apartments yours now. I have never had a problem getting my apartment fix when somthing is broken, the guys are real nice, i went to the office and told them about my cabinets and the next thing i know i was getting new cabinets, so to the people who have a problem with getting there stuff fix when it breaks you must not be telling the office, because if they dont know its broken they cant fix it. About the parking i live the the middle of the property and yes the parking is tight and you might not have a space right in front of you door but you have a space i can come home late and stil have a space. Now since they have giving out the new parking sticker the parking is GREAT!!! And to let people know the girls in the office are some of the nices rental people i have every had. Have you ever heard the saying if you are nice to people they are nice to you. I just want to let the people know this is apartment life you are going to have problems, hear noise if you dont like it get at house...but for me am not ready to get one yet, so girl in the office you will see me soon to sign my lease renewal for another year. To the mother out there i have a son in school and a 1yr old and i feel safe, and i have lived i the Westend all my life. So to the people looking for an apartment dont let the bad apples make you think Matchpoint is a bad place, if it was so bad they would have moved out when there lease was up. If i didn't like where i was living am not staying no matter how much money i save, so it must no be as bad as you are making it to be.

Interesting review or shall I say criticism of the negative reviews. First of all, everyone is entitled to have his/her opinion. I'm certain if a poll was taken of Match Point residents, the reviews would run the spectrum from very positive to very negative based on that individual's living experience. Fortunately, you have had a positive experience thus far. For some of us, the experience has not been so positive and we have the right to comment on our experiences, as well. Having an opposing opinion to your opinion does not make us "bad apples." You make some interesting assumptions in your review: "so to the people who have a problem with getting there stuff fix when it breaks you must not be telling the office, because if they dont know its broken they cant fix it." Call too many times and a service fee could apply. So I can understand tenants who hesitate to call repeatedly. "Have you ever heard the saying if you are nice to people they are nice to you." I'm cordial to the people in the rental office but I do believe they could be more efficient. "I just want to let the people know this is apartment life you are going to have problems, hear noise if you dont like it get at house..." Most apartment dwellers expect to deal with some noise and are okay with it. Still being wakened up out of your sleep in the middle of the night because your neighbors are blasting their music is not acceptable. It also violates the Richmond Noise Ordinance Law. Honestly, it is the ones who are playing the loud music who should invest in a house sitting on at least an acre. "If it was so bad they would have moved out when there lease was up. If i didn't like where i was living am not staying no matter how much money i save, so it must no be as bad as you are making it to be." Typical comeback statement made without any knowledge of the person's current situation. A typical American spender attitude is displayed by stating that it doesn't matter how much money you would be saving. Contrary to mainstream thought, some of us like to live within our means. We are willing to sacrifice in the present because we know we will not always be living at Match Point. Yet, that does not imply that we forfeit our right to comment on our experiences. Obviously, each individual has his/her own ideas on what constitutes a good living experience. This site was designed for all to share their experiences whether negative or positive. One more thing: IN THE FUTURE, PLEASE PROOFREAD AND SPELLCHECK. THANKS.

I have lived in MatchPoint apartments for 3 years, and the office & maintenance staff has always been helpful. Any problems have been fixed within 24 hrs. Most of the neighbors in my building are very respectful & quiet. The only issue I had was living on the bottom floor with a neighbor above me who was a busy body, and never seemed to sleep. I moved into an upstairs apartment, and its even more quiet than the other building. For those who are having problems, I hope the issues will be resolved, or you will be successful in finding a new home.
