I my nearly 2 years in residence, things have gone downhill from the barely acceptable conditions from when I moved in. One person in the office has been friendly and as helpful as she can be when no one else does their job. Other than that, I have nothing nice to say about Morningside Apartments or it's employees. Maintenance is practically non-existent. Of the four exterior lights surrounding my apartment, one of them works. Now bear in mind that my apartment is less than 100 feet from where a triple homicide was commited, yet management feels no need to fix the exterior lights, despite the four personal visits I made to the office and the two letters I sent. All six requests for maintenance were subsequently ignored. I get to move out on January 31, 2008, and I cannot wait! It is very likely that I will be paying my last 2 months rent in Escrow due to management's continual dismissal of my complaints and needs. I can only imagine the antics that will ensue at the time I vacate the apartment. I expect a lot of hassle and for them to try to charge me for things that they should have fixed, but that is only speculation. DO NOT MOVE HERE!

I must live right near you. You are correct in that these lights are out and they will not repair them at all. They never even acknowledge the problem. I think they should be forced to liver there so that they can see just how safe they feel.
