Not what it used to be

I lived here about five years ago and have returned. I am not happy with the management of the place today as I was previously. Nothing has been replaced or updated since then. They are charging premium rent that the newer places charge, but nothing is upgraded. Cabinets are fading wood, and all of the appliances are getting old and worn.
My biggest complaint is noise. I have gotten complaints about noise here even tho i live a modest lifestyle. You can hear every little thing. Therefore the neighbors are quick to make complaints when it is nothing but everyday living they hear. I don't feel like i can live a comfortable life here without getting nervous everytime i make a sound too loud. I am extremely becoming agitated with the situation. Instead of management recongnizing the walls are a mite too thin, they instead badger the tenants with complaint notices on their door.
I also do not understand some people. When you live on the bottom floor of an apartment, do you really think you were going to have quiet like a house in the country' I pay extra to live on the top floor because I am very cognizant that the downstairs floor in an apt will be noisey. Apparently my neighbors downstairs do not get this point. When you choose apartment style living, you are going to deal with a certain level of noise.
The management staff is hit or miss. Half of them are wonderful and very responsive, others have been a bit snippy and not so willing to help. Maintenance is the same way. One of them is very nice, very friendly, the other is a bit cantankerous and definitely hates dogs and cats.
I would not say my experience here has been awful, but i can say it has not been all that pleasant either. Some of it is the neighbors and the staff cannot really control that. I won't be renewing my lease however.
