Living at Oaks at Gayton was mostly a positive experience for me. The office personell is very friendly and promt to answer maintenace issues. I only had 2 maintenance emergencies and got taken care of in a few hours after I called the office. The insulation it is very poor, I must say. The electricity bills were ridiculous and the heat or the AC were running constanly, although I never kept my apt lower then 76 in the summer or higher then 70 in the winter. The fireplace it's really nice to use in the winter, and warms up the whole apt. Regarding the noise level, you can pretty much hear everything your upstairs neighbours say or do up there, as well as the people outside the apartment, on the sidewalk or parking lot.
Safety or parking have never been a problem, and I enjoyed the beautiful trees and the squerrels, chipmunks and all the birds around.

I agree about the insulation. I had to use a heating fan in peak winter to heat up the bathroom which would be ice cold every morning in the winter. Not sure if that's the case with every apartment, but that's how it was in my apartment. But my overall experience with this community was pretty good.
