I am a current resident and I can't wait for my lease to be up. I moved into the Park because I had a friend who lived there and had no problems. However, that was years ago. My car has been broken into twice, yet the office claims to have no knowledge of this even after I showed them the police report. The apartments are old and things have not been fixed. My air conditioner was leaking water since April and I told the office, they did not fix it until August. They had alot of people with the same problems and I was told to put a bucket under the vent until they could fix it. Because of the leak, my wall and carpet was ruined by mildew and they still have yet to fix them or replace them and I have been calling every week since August.
There is a lot of crime in the area, the police now sit outside in the parking lots but people are still being robbed. My neighbors door was kicked in and the police were sitting in the next parking lot and didn't catch the person, again the office claims it did not happen. A week later a man was beaten up and robbed behind my apartment and still no clue who did it and no knowledge of it happening at the office. My other next door neighbor was told that they would have to pay more in rent because they had the place remodeled before they moved it, but it looks the same as mine and I pay less.

I have been in a lot worse place than Park at Lake wood. My area is pretty quite. I have not had any problems with theft or robbery. I have heard about that. The maintenance issue were because they had someone in the office who wasn't doing there job. Things seem to be looking up so let just give this new person a chance.

The office didn't tell you about the crimes because they are not allowed to. If you want the information you can look up crime in your neighborhood on the county's website.
