Contrary to what the rental office says, these apartments are NOT 60 years old. I lived in the front section (the all-brick buildings) 1968-1974 (this site won't go back that far when you write a review) when the back section behind the "little lake" as we called it then, and up to South Beulah Rd, and the units across Meadowdale Blvd (brick and siding) were being built. The front section (all brick) can't be more than 40-45 years old as they were almost new in 1968. My ratings are based on my experience when I lived there, which was positive. I liked it there so much, I moved back in 1979-80 and had no problems whatsoever. The sewer smell comes from DuPont on Jeff Davis Hwy, it has always been there. This used to be such a great apartment complex, a fun community with lots of activities, fishing in the lakes, pool parties WITH LIFEGUARDS, playgrounds for the kids, etc. It saddens me to hear how it has deteriorated. You wouldn't believe what a neat place it was back in those days. There is no excuse for what is reportedly going on there now. My best suggestion is, take your rent money and move somewhere that the management gives a darn about the property and the residents. Or better yet, buy a house.

i'm glad to hear that someone else had a positive experience here. It was nice in 2000 and i enjoyed it up until 2004 when management changed and did not care any more. Sad.

I agree whith you 100% the whole meadowbrook and meadowdale area has gone down. truly sad as hell when I remember it back in the early 80s when I was a teenager like a upscale communty now what do you have here???
