I love my loft at the River Lofts in Richmond, VA but find the property owners one of the worst management groups I have lived under out of 3 different states.
They are quick to demand full payment of the rent, including threatening letters on your first offense on day 4 of the month, and yet they are unable to keep the outdoor hot tub operating (it is either cold, or off or both) they have difficulty keeping the equipment in the gym operating and they have other features touted in the rental sales office that have not been operational for months. Staff in the management office are less than friendly and hard to reach and I have been verbally abused by one security guard. (although the sales people in the rental office go above and beyond with a positive and friendly approach)I have to wonder about the company when I locked my keys in my apartment and the employee who let me asked me to pay him directly and to call saying that I found my keys and no longer needed his services. This causes me to wonder about the ethics of the organization as well as the quality of their management

This causes me deep distress since I like the location and the loft itself and yet probably won't stay due to the insincerity and lack of integrity of the company.

All too true. If they would just treat their residents as well as they treat prospective customers, this place would be great. They cut too many corners on service and their approach to resident concerns seems to be "if we ignore it, they'll go away and it saves us money and hassle."
