I have lived at the River Lofts for over a year and overall it has been a very positive experience.

Amenities: The amenities at the River Lofts are superior to the amenities at any of the other apartment communities in the Bottom. The two pools are nice and always clean. The gym is a great size with lots of equipment, and is never crowded. There is free coffee in the morning, which is always good.

Grounds: the common areas are immaculate and quiet.

Staff: the maintenance staff is friendly and responds quickly to maintenance issues (although I've had very few).

Safety: I've felt very safe the entire time I've lived at the River Lofts, despite the location. Access to the building is controlled and the areas outside are well lit. There is also a security guard who diligently watches over the buildings all night.

Noise: I have not had any problems with noisy neighbors. I barely see anyone in the hallways or the common areas.

Parking: The only downside is the parking situation. You can pay to park and sometimes walk a good distance from your paid space, or you can compete for street parking, which is easier to find early in the evening (if you come home late at night, you will have trouble finding street parking).

Rent: The rent is a little higher at the River Lofts than the other apartment communities in the Bottom, but if you are looking to live somewhere downtown that is clean, safe, and quiet, it's worth it.
