I wanted to dispute some of the comments that were made about my apartment complex (for the main reason...I live here). Some of the reports are accurate and others are not. For example, the police ride through the complex to try to hinder crime from taking place (which...crime happens everywhere...not just here). Maintenance has done a much better job in the past year since they have a separate maintenance building for us to report maintenance issues with. I have never encountered a major problem but what I have had to call maintenance for was handled within a couple of days. As for the office people not caring about the people living here...that is bogus. The complex recently had a "resident appreciation" day and was at the entrances at 7:00am in the morning giving out dounuts and juice boxes (by the way...it was 38 degrees outside that morning). It amazes me that many people want to complain about everything and drive it into the ground and not look at the whole picture. This is an older complex but is very affordable and the location is descent as well. A reminder to all of those people looking for an apartment...you are going to have some issue with something no matter where you live. If the complex was really as bad as previous reports...I would not have just renewed my lease for another year.

To each his own, but when I have a maintenance man tell me in 90 degree weather when my AC is broken to call someone else and worry them because he's busy, I know it's time to go. When I have an oven that is so old it cuts off after being on 2 minutes, and have maintenance not do anything about it, It's time to go. When I look out of my window and see people beating each other up at 2 in the morning every week, it's time to go. And when I live in an apt. complex where they think it's acceptaple to turn the water off without warning for hours in people's homes, it is definitely time to go! And that is exactly what I am going to do! My lease is not getting renewed, so someone else who doesn't mind those issues can have my place because I am moving!!

I stand by what I said about my experiences in this complex. I had many friends from college living there that's why I moved there. It's great they decided to show residents some love but since that happened after I left it doesn't change my experience. I don't and didn't participate in illegal activities and I will not tolerate in living around it. That place became hell on earth. And when I started having issues with my marijuana smoking loud music playing neighbor then I no longer felt safe and the rental office made it perfectly clear they didn't give a damn.
