This place really isn't paradise. From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 10/3/2007 Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2007 1 response Ok..so a couple of the reviews I have read are true. It has it's goods but it's mostly bad. I moved in there 3 years ago and didn't have too much of a problem at first. There are only a few of the office people that are helpful and willing to work with you. One guy though is a complete a-hole. We had a couple late rent payments but we paid them unlike half the people in the neighborhoods. We didn't start having serious problems up until the last two-three months before we were moving out. First thing that happened was our AC unit broke. We went without AC in a very hot house for almost a week. We also had a dog which made it bad for him too. Nobody came and we went to the office ourselves and basically told them they give us another place to stay or you come fix it today. They finally came and the maintainence guy was very very very nice/helpful. The next problem I had was with the group of 10 or so black kids that walk around the neighborhood late at night. These kids range from 13-18 and they walk around in a huge group. I was out in my car at around 11pm talking to my friend on the phone (I didn't get very good service in the house), I'm sitting there and I see the group of kids walking around in their nasty "wife beaters" and having their shirts off talking and being loud. Then all of the sudden they jump Into the back of my truck acting like it's a bench for their freaking basketball game. I immediately jumped out of my car and they ran off. I called the police and had a white cop come talk to me and he just sat there and had a dumb smirk on his face like I was lying. Then a black cop came and listened to me and looked at me like I was completely racist. He gets a call on his walkie from his grinning partner and he says "Oh he has them". They disappear and then I see them 5 minutes later exit the neighborhood. 25 minutes later the kids were back by my truck. COPS DON'T DO CRAP IN THAT AREA SO DON'T EXPECT 911 TO COME UNLESS SOMEONE IS SHOT AND DEAD. I will also agree with the noise. I was trying to go to sleep one night around midnight and some people across the street decided to have a party with loud music. I'm young and I understand but when it starts hitting about 4am and they are still yelling it gets pretty frustrating. They ended up finally stopping at 7am so they could go to church. Give me a break thugs and church DON'T MIX. I am sorry and I am not Racist..but seriously this place needs to get their crap together. They also need to enforce some curfew crap for these stupid hoodlums. But hey if you like a nice apartment...loud marijuana smoking neighbors...and good price..and chances of you being harassed and gawked at for being white then move on in here.

Wow. So you are not racist huh. What do they call it these days? Would the kids be better if they were white? Any person that describes kids as "10 or so black kids" is clearly ignorant and racist. If you hate it so much.....LEAVE! Or stop complaining about the situation and help do something about it. This community has a neighborhood watch program that you are clearly not a member of. You also have to keep in mind that you don't pay a lot for rent so you get what you pay for. A word of advice.......if you want a better placed to live go to the west end or chesterfield. By the way....black people are not the only people that live in that community.
