Location is great: close to stores, restaurants, downtown, etc. The apartments are older with poor insulation, drafty doors and windows, and frequent maintenance problems (we experienced a leaking ceiling, broken dishwasher, broken deck doors, broken closet doors, toilet problems, etc). The biggest problem we experienced was the sheer number of children who are allowed to play in the parking lots. While the managers of the apartments occassionally send out reminders about playing safely, no rules are enforced. It is difficult to drive when school is not in session with frequent stops to allow inconsiderate children the right of way with their scooters, bicycles, and balls. My vehicle, along with some neighbor's, were hit with rocks, balls, and other objects that served as toys. The children are RARELY observed being supervised and they have no regard for personal property as they sit on different cars and "moon" passerby. There are frequent disturbances with adult's loud music, as well as domestic disturbances and fights. There is trash everywhere on the grounds, as well as dog feces that belong to the several dogs (including pit bulls) that are allowed to run by their owners with no leash. Rules are again not enforced by the management here, despite frequent complaints. The maintenance staff are all very friendly and generally respond to problems promptly, even if the problem is not necessarily fixed. I certainly would not recommend this complex to anyone seeking a quiet and clean lifestyle. I do recommend that anyone considering Sunrise to drive through, especially on a warm, clear evening. Please drive slowly.
