Unfortunately, after living at the Parachute Factory for a year, I've got very few good things to say. The tenants are great. But that's where the fun ends.

The apartments are big, yes, but they cost a forture to heat and cool, and are constructed so poorly that you can hear your neighbors whispher. And god forbid they walk around their apartment - then it sounds like they're stopping through your apartment. And those big windows that seem to appealling' Well, given that the construction of the place is SO BAD, those windows let out ALL of your cold air in the summer and ALL of your hot air in the winter. I can sit three feet away from one of those windows and STILL feel a breeze. On top of that, none of the exterior windows have locks and most of them don't even close.

The management will treat you respectfully in the beginning, but will eventually charge you bogus fees, cuss you out if you complain, ignore your maintenance requests and then come on this website to post fake positive reviews. Parachute Factory, and it's parent company, River City Real Estate claim to be pet friendly but they charge you a $200 non-refundable pet deposit PER PET, on top of $35 a month per pet. That would be okay if they did ANYTHING to accomodate pet owners, but they don't.

And oh, that parking lot' Well, let the towing company (USA Towing) get bored and they'll tow your car just for fun - even if it means they have to vandalize your car to do it! Try complaining to River City and you'll get cussed out! Each car that gets towed from the Parachute Factory lot lies the pocket of not only USA Towing, but River City as well.

Did I mention the -------- who work on the maintenance staff who like to go up on the roof and peek into tenants windows and skilights. Yeah, that happens. ALL THE TIME.

Bottom Line: DO NOT LIVE HERE. It's not worth it.

the unfortunate part of all of this is that the parachute factory is blaming the tenants for many of the problems . what they fail to realize is that by making small strides they could in effect reverse much of the negativity that is being generated regarding their property, landlords should be on the sid eof their tentants, they could easily purchase for very little cost pet waste recepticals as this is the reason for charging a pet maintenance fee, especially since there is no carpeting to maintain, so where does the pet maintenence fee go? they could also place trash cans on various places in the building for garbage, they could easily post signs regarding the doors and leaving them closed, they also could for little cost tint the windows and seal them, especially since the windows are original to the building and therefore no cost was incurred to replace them in the renovation. they could blow insulation into the walls decreasing noise, they could also require that tenants place carpet in the main walk ways pf the units which most apt's do require for hard wood flooring this reduces noise and helps insulate.i could go on and on, simple things would help encourage the tenants to take pride in the property and to want to decrease pet droppings and waste. by having the tenants on their side so many of these problems would be reduced. they could even go so far as to form a tenant association on property to help generate ideas as to how to approach many of the issues at hand.
