If you have money to throw away...

My lease is up soon and I cannot wait to get out of here! Clogged drains, windows painted shut, broken garbage disposal, 2 cable jacks don't work, leaky pipes, broken hot water heater, $45/mo parking fee (per person)...i could go on and on. The building is obviously old, but if you are going to turn an old warehouse into apartments, spend the money to do it right! This place is ridiculous! Even the maintainance man told me the management was cheap and didn't want to fix some of the problems. I managed to hammer the frames on the living room windows enough (because they were painted shut) to get them open and now wind is blowing through all day! No insulation and I'm pretty sure the windows are too small...After two months of maintainance coming to my apartment about once a week to re-light the pilot light on the hot water heater, they finally decided "maybe it needs to be fixed"...you think' I live on the river side of the building and if you move in here, be prepared for early mornings with the bright sun in your face and long nights with the trains going by all night. We pay $90 total for parking and "security" doesn't even regulate it. Don't worry about paying for it, those "permits" they give you don't mean squat. It is also very hard to find anyone on Sunday if you need any help. I found out after calling emergency maintainance for almost 3 hours and then finding out the magnet phone list they gave us (that month) was not correct! I walked around outside until I found someone to come help me.

On top of rent and parking, you have to pay for power, cable, phone, water, and gas...you can only get Comcast cable and their "contract-prices" are more expensive than if you just got it yourself.

This place looks beautiful on the outside, but do yourself a favor and move somewhere else! What a waste of time AND money!! Horrible management! Someone should really look into this!

Instead of renovating more old buildings into apartments, they should fix all of the problems in their existing buildings!

Spot on. I'm so tired of living here... it is now 103 degrees outside and our A/C has just conked out for the 6th time in 2 years. And nobody is here to fix it because it is a Sunday. Awesome!
