I actually worked for the company that owns Treehous. As it turns out it is not a nice community. Most of these reviews are correct. Its unsafe, its dirty, amd cheap. But it is cheap! How funny these ghetto -------- complain about all this stuff. In most cases the resident is unhappy cause of their own persoanal issues not cause this place is so bad. People rent there for a reason, not because its nice, because its cheap. So get off welfare, or graduate from ghetto ass VUU and get on with life. The staff probably is rude, because they have to deal with ignorant people all day every day!!!! Resident complains about crime, then turns around and complains abour security bustin peoples balls or the presence of police. What do you people expect. The reason VUU still promotes treehouse as off campus housing is because no other communities in that area would consider have thugs and ho's from VUU ruin their property. Anyway good luck to all of you that have soooo many problems with treehouse. Like you didnt know what you were gettin yourself into with $400 dollar a month rent. Go rent in short pump or glen allen, Oh wait you dirt bags dont have the $ or credit to explore that as an option. Peace out hommies enjoy your self made ghetto!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know what, just because someone isn't as fortunate as you are, doesn't mean that they should be subjected to such surroundings. People who don't have money don't deserve to be ripped off and have to live around crime. I don't think that you would be happy if you had to live in an apartment where nothing was fixed and for one thing the rent isn't that cheap. So it looks to me like you need to get a life and stop looking down on people who are poor. It could be you one day, don't forget that.

racist as hell. because VUU is a black school they got to be ghetto thugs and ho's wow, I cant even believe you said some stuff like that. I cant even stop reading the part where u said "VUU thugs and ho's ruining their property" haha...like VCU students dont have thugs and hoes...like VCU students dont live in Treehouse...haha...yes i go to VCU, and i know plenty of VUU smart black students paying 20 thousand dollars a year... trying to make something of their lives and living in treehouse to get ahead and save as much money as possible...as for the money or credit...what college student has a lot of money or a lot of credit for that matter? i'm not ghetto in any way, shape, or form. I'm a 4.0 BLACK student at VCU and proud...and guess what...I dont even live in treehouse, but I'm soo disspointed that people still think the way you think...so after reading that all i can do is pray for someone with your mindset.

Well my mom has HUD and we can't afford to move anywhere else in 25 miles. The rent is 1000 $ per month and the fire alarm goes off all night 4 times a year (all false alarms). They say they cleaned the vents before we moved in, but they didn't, they told our neighbors they cleaned their vents, they didn't. They have threatened to evict us at least three times on things such as window fogging (they dropped the complaint after sending one warning, never heard from them again regarding the windows), dog ownership (funny! we never owned a dog, but now three years later they allow some dogs, whatever), too threatening to stop accepting HUD (that tactic resulted in at least one neighbor across the street to move, believing that they would carry through with it, but they (Treehouse) changed their minds luckily). The last time they threatened to evict us I thought my life was coming to an end, I was getting a 3.75 at Fremd High School and thought I would have to go to another high school, a prospect I did not find appealing, because we all know that schools are not all created equal as a result of being dependent on local property taxes. Now I'm going to Roosevelt University and now two professors have already suggested that I get a job teaching as a professor once I get my doctorate degree. One nice thing about TreeHouse (at least in the Schaumburg area) is that they allow you the use of professional carpet cleaning professionals (we haven't requested that service in years so that has probably changed). And on the down side no local over-air tv, they took the antenna off the roof after winning a bid with Comcast over TVMAX. And now Comcast wants to charge 17$/month for something which is inherently free (nearly free). Calling everyone who is poor to be a member of the *hood* is wrong. This nation has grown so disparate that I can no longer reconcile the beliefs and actions of the 'enemy(republicans)'.

I would seriously recommend doing a little research before you consider putting your foot in your mouth. Considering that I make more than enough money to live on the West End, but preferred a cheaper alternative, Treehouse is, as you call it, a 'self-made' ghetto by people such as yourself. The company promotes the type of environment at Treehouse by investing in terrible maintenance workers, not enforcing policies, and by maintaining a low rent rate.
