My Roommate was held at Gunpoint and the staff didn't even care

Where to start...
- when we moved in we were rushed into a model apartment while ignoring passerbys trying to tell us not to move in
- gunshots at night, we thought they were hunting in nearby woods but that wasn't the case
- buildings burning down, some people lost everything
- maintenance people were rude and lazy, office staff (Charlie especially) would not deliver on their promises, rude as well
- noisy, parties at 3 am were getting out of hand, no body did anything about them
- bus line was ghetto, VCU students had to ride with VUU students (the VUU students were always high)
- bus driver was racist - if you were white, he gave you a hard time
- my ceiling caved in from rainfall and poor year-after-year patchups. Yellow water ran down onto my personal belongings. Had to get the news media involved before anything was done. Got sick from the mold and my physician suggested that we look into filing a lawsuit. I have the pictures to prove it.
- A child threw up in the hallway and no one cleaned it for 6 months
- MY ROOMMATE WAS HELD UP AT GUNPOINT!!! This was the last of it and we moved. The apartment people didn't even care when he was robbed. The "security office" wouldn't even open their door because they were "afraid for their safety."
- People were murdered, raped, robbed, assaulted and cars broken into when we were living there
- News media doing live remotes outside your window because of the crime
Do not move here. I feel for the students when GSC comes to campus and try to coerce students to live there. They portray this great living community and it is the opposite. I would love it if anyone didn't have to go through what we went through. If you end up living there, you'll learn quick. If you don't get shot.

i can attest to the half-assed roof patch jobs, i live on the 2nd floor and for a while, my bedroom ceiling will not leak, but eventually, it will start to drip, and everytime I call maintenance, I have to act like its a dire emergency to even get a response or call back, and then, they always say, "we've got to call the conractor to work on the outside before we send anyone inside to look @ your ceiling!" it sucks to wake up in the middle of the night with rain falling thru!!!
