Check the BBB before moving here!

I have been living here for almost 2 years. December of 2007 I got another dog, updated my pet contract, and brought it to the rental office. The girl that was there apparently did nothing with the paper, because here in July 08, I get a bill for $400 for not being in compliance of the contract!
Everyone I talked to was either rude, or tried to blame me! While still admitting that there is a high turn over rate at the rental office. The manager could not even remember who worked there during that time! I do not trust them to have a key to my apartment... needless to say that I won't be renewing this lease or recommending King Properties to anyone.
The Pros of living here is only the location. However, there is Harbor Village, Sundance Station, and Hickory Creek that offer the same benefits to location.
The Cons of living here is so many... rude MANAGERS (property and corporate), all the associates seem to be in training bc they either got fired or they quit, maintenance is horrible, lighting, some lizard thing around the apartment, interior needs to be updated, but most importantly-- knowing that they are crooks and that my money is going to help those -------s in management get their yearly raise.
I only hope that they have someone treat only half as bad as they treat their tenants.

King Properties, Inc. & its employees do not conduct business in an honest & ethical manner. They charged me $70 for mattress removal -- because someone else left mattresses at the dumpster around the time that I vacated the apartment. They did not care who was the responsible party. They only care about getting money from you. I feel sorry for people who have no choice & have to live there.

I also was charged for a pet I registered with them. Even though I had signed copies of the forms, because they did not charge me the right amount of pet rent, I was stuck paying a lease violation fee double the amount of pet rent I was actually paying. These people are very unethical.

There is no point in checking the BBB - King Properties is not affiliated with them (not surprising, seeing as how most businesses that ARE partnered with the BBB conduct business in an ethical manner). Reporting them to the BBB is of no use either - they simply write a response back to them and the case is closed. If a resident disputes again what King Properties has said to the BBB, they simply send another response and another until the BBB gets sick of it and closes the case.
