Wilde Lake Apts are a bargain and close to the fun of the West End but be prepared for failing problems in your new apt. Sherri Black, the apt manager, offers "fake" politeness that is patronizing and scapegoating. Their maintenance has been short staffed but has been improving of late due to superior maintenance staff. Since I moved in , our AC(1week to fix) & water heater & dishwasher have been replaced and my apt was not ready when i moved in after they knew for 6 weeks the move in date. They even had to repaint or "paint" after i moved in. The "fitness center" features cardio equipment that is ancient, nonfunctioning or blown. Recently, we saw a homeless dude sleeping under the stairwell on the bottom floor when we walked our dog. Twice, in the same area evidence of human feces reminded us of his visit. Is this the West End'Wilde Lake Apts were built in 1989, so be prepared for what that means.

I totally agree with you. Nice to know my husband and I werent the only ones who experienced troubling issues. The people who work in the Lerner office in Maryland weren't that great either. I will never live in another Lerner community in my life.

It took them 3 weeks to fix my list of repairs from my move in inspection. The apartments are old and showing their age now. I can also hear the people upstairs walking around and their music in certain areas of my apartment. If you rent here get on the top floor. It isn't that bad but there are some issues.

I have also seen a homeless person under the stairs. He wasn't agressive, just a guy down on his luck. Thing is, I pay rent here and I feel no more welcome than that guy under the stairs. At least he can break lease!!!!
