1) it is far too expensive ($820 when i moved in, and they tried to raise the rate another $50 for the following year). 2) the apartments are not well maintained at all, I had a large number of different problems (including failing air conditioning over and over), response is very slow and if they can't figure out the problem they will just ignore it. 3) they will without question try to take advantage of you when you are moving out. they require 60 DAY notice before moving out (as opposed to the standard 30), and if you only give them 30 days, they will CONTINUE CHARGING YOU RENT past the expiration of your lease until they find a new tenant to take your place. they also charged me $60 to clean the carpets when I left. In short, do yourself a big favor and do not stay here - there are far too many other options to choose from in richmond, and there is no reason to subject yourself to this sort of thing if it isn't necessary.

$60 is nothing...the last West End complex I lived at charged $1200 to replace the carpet due to my roommate being in a wheelchair. They knew about the wheelchair from the beginning of the lease. We were only there a year. Apartments in the West End are expensive. These are very reasonable. Also, 60 days notice is what I had to give for the other apartment complex as well...I don't know about the standard 30 you are talking about.

So how much is a 1 bedroom and 1 bath? Also does it have a washer and dryer already in unit?

Why did you move into these apartments in the first place if you thought the rent was expensive? That rent is cheap. That is a lot less than what I am paying. I think this community is nice. And guess what, the $50 is called a standard increase when you agree to stay there for another year. They do it at all the other apartment properties, not just this one.

There are apartments for less, but this is the West End. Be prepared for a higher standard of living there. Crystal is correct about the $50 up charge (Broadmoore Apartments did it last year because of 'renovations'), and many apartments DO have a standard 30 day requirement for letting the leasing agent know you're moving out. There are several apartments such as that. Wildlake is one of only three I've come across during my searches that requires a 60 Day notice.
