If you are thinking about getting an apartment here, please walk away while you still have a chance. You will thank yourself later. The office staff is unfriendly, in a coldly fake-polite kind of way. Additionally, they are not very good about actually giving you the 24 hrs notice they are supposed to about regularly scheduled maintence that requires maintence people to enter the unit. And, if you request maintence that other than the regularly scheduled filter changing, etc, you might as well forget about its ever getting done. The staff has promised maintence services that were never actually provided, more than once. The rent is also kind of high. There is NO sense of community in the neighborhood, and the bland, box-like buildings frankly remind me of someting out of a dystopian future scifi novel. (My best friend and I like to joke that the neighborhood has a "1984-creepy" feel to it.) If you are in the military, they won't accept payment by allotment, or they didn't when my husband and I moved in, at least. Also, if you and your family want to live off base for the sake of avoiding living on base, you won't want to live here, because there are so many military families here that you almost might as well be on base. It has a very uncomfortable feel to it.
Oh, and there was a list of community rules that you have to sign that they didn't show us until after we had already paid them their nonrefundable deposit. Frankly, if my husband and I had been in a position to just throw away $250, we would have walked away at that point. The only reason why we renewed our lease is that moving is frankly too expensive to do every year if you can avoid it. Otherwise, we would be living somewhere else now.
