First I have to say that apartment living is never perfect (I've lived in several apartment communities from NOVA to Stafford). I lived in Vine Place prior to Lakewood and that place was a complete hell hole, the employees were idiotic and there were several robberies and assaults while I lived there (in my own building!) That said, Lakewood is heaven compared to that. I have had several "run-ins" with "ghetto" neighbors who I had made complaints about, but the office staff took care of everything immediately (they were dismissed from the property) and anytime I had an issue, they were quick to resolve it. The maintenance staff was also on top of any requests I made. The grounds were always kept up (the staff cleans the parking lot 3 times a week) and my babies love the ducks, especially in the spring when the hatchlings appear! I have had no problems (with the exception of the low-life neighbors in the complex). People have to understand that they will always run across these kinds of problems while living in an apartment community. Our vehicle has never been towed and my guests always park in guest parking. The apartments are aging, but it's not a new complex! All-in-all, I'm happy with my apartment, the staff and the surrounding grounds!
