My husband and I have lived at Lakewood for 9 months. I can t wait to leave; I would not recommend this place to anyone. I don t think there has been one week in our entire 9 months that everything was working correctly. Some of the employees are very rude and don t seem to know anything about the community. The repair men are great, but we have seen them way WAY too much. Here is a list of all the repair issues we have had:
Leak from up stairs, leaked down into our apartment, stained the carpets in 2 rooms
Garbage disposal broke
Phone jack didn t work because it was full of paint
Electrical outlet wouldn t work
Cracks in the foundation
Washer and Dryer from 1950 s (ish) ruined our cloths because it was leaving rust stains on them and the dryer door wouldn t close, repair men came out and fixed it: didn t matter the problem was still there. Had to call 4 times before anything was done. (replaced washer and dryer)
Our next washer and dryer set: Washer leaked all over my laundry room, soaked everything. Still hasn t be fixed on my 3rd call
Heater broke: took more then a week and a half to fix, the whole time we had to have the emergency heat on
Now the AC is broken in May and there have been a couple of HOT and HUMID days were the house has been over 90 degrees. It has been 2 weeks not fixed yet
Toilet leaked all over my bathroom.
Spider/bug/bee problem
Another phone jack didn t work because the wiring was wrong
Now we have TERMITS!
Sliding closet door broke, repair man came and fixed it, a day later it was broken again.
Again the toilet has been leaking again

I think the amount of problems we have had with this community is completely ridiculous! Not once has anyone called, left a note, nothing, and said sorry for the inconvenience. Can t wait to move!

So true. I lived it to. Watch out for extra charges when you move out.

It helps when the management office is made aware of ALL the maintenance problems residents have at the time they occur, not when they need to use that as an excuse to move out. Any extra charges that are charged at move out are because the apartment was severely damaged by the resident that lived there. This apartment was a prime example of SEVERE damaged caused by the resident who wrote this response.
