I have lived here since 2002 and found a few things to be true...
1. There is a massive overpopulation of stray cats, and after many complaints to the office (with no feedback) I rented a humane trap from the Stafford Animal Shelter and trapped them myself. These stray cats urinate and deficate on the patios, have kittens all spring & summer, and get smushed by cars! Management needs to take care of this problem!
2. There needs to be a better containment of garbage and keeping the dumpsters emptied. My unit is 4 doors down and across the street from one of the "enclosed" dumsters, and I always seem to have plastic bags, cups, and debris blown onto my front doorstep. The wooden doors that are suposed to hide the garbage are always wide open - an ugly eyesore.
3. The landscaping crew always mows over these bits of garbage and paper that are strewn across the community's lawn - leading to shredded confetti all over. Why don't they pick it up before making a bigger mess'
4. Better snow plowing & shoveling needs to be done in the winter. They need to be more vigilant rather than waiting for the thaw & refreeze before attempting to do anything. Very unsafe!
5. Even after many "newsletters", children as young as 2 and 3 still roam the streets unsupervised. They should adopt a policy that if your children are found to be unsupervised, you get two warnings and then the 3rd time your lease is over - get out! I was walking my dog last year (on a leash!) and a little boy about 2 years old fell off a curb and started crying in the street. I ran over to see if he was ok, and when his mother finally stuck her head outside, all she said was "Get that dog away from my boy!"
Ridiculous!
6. There always seems to be an "inspection" needed every two months. I find it very intrusive that management or maintenance always needs to come into the townhomes to check something. Filter checks 2 or 3 times, battery checks 2 or 3 times, housing commision, pest control, plumbing inspection! I swear that someone was in my house at least every two months! I don't know why thay can't schedule to do it all on the same day, twice a year, instead of nosing around in the tenants business constantly all year.
I have very nice neighbors who don't bother anyone. I've never had any damage or problems with vandals or mischief to my car or home. I don't really use the pool because it seems too crowded and not regulated. I feel comfortable walking my dog late at night and being outside alone. This townhome community could be an extremely nice place to live with some minor changes being made. vWhRVi5nYYIuEh4W7K3l
