When I moved in here I thought it was a nice place, boy was I fooled. I heard from quite a few people about the trouble with crime and the office staff, but like others thought it was just because those people liked to compain. I should have listened! Everytime you need something done there is some reason they can't do it or they aren't responsible. Maintenance is "first come first serve" and if the length of time it takes to get something fixed is any indication of the work load then this place is falling apart. It takes weeks sometimes to get things fixed and you have to call everday for it. When you do go in the office instead of calling it in, the staff is always sitting around on their butts eating or watching TV. They usually grab a piece of whatever paper is laying around and make a note for the maintenance crew (which for a long time was 1 person) They office staff is rude, lazy, forgetful and never gets back to you on anything.
As far as safety, yes every place has it's issues, however there are things that can be done that are not. We now pay as much as $1060 for an apartment and our security is a 2x4 as a "gate" and a ton of burnt out street lights. As the 2X4 "gate" goes it is always broken and has gone unrepaired for the past 2 months. But look under the list of perks, we're a "gated" community. This is only on the front entrance by the way, there is nothing on the back entrance, which you don't even know about until after you move in. The back entrance is the most unsafe, I won't even walk back there in the day time. The apartments back there are nasty.
There are always kids running around with no supervision, things get stolen and vandalzed all the time. Cars are keyed, tires slashed, kids throw balls in the street, there are fights all the time, teens hang out at the play ground all hours of the night, the "gym" is only open during business hours because people destroyed it so many times. Oh, but ask the staff in the office, it's a wonderful place, no problems ever! When you want to move in here, they make it sound like Pleasantville because they want your money. It's easy to stay 90-100% occupied when you lie to people. I suggest talking the people that live here and calling the police department before you move in. Don't rely on the word of the office staff.

This is an income based property. so you are going to get people living there that cannot afford normal rent, the kind of people that dont pay their rent and take care of their things. plus the neighborhood next door is section8
