Do Not Move Here!

I am a current resident at Sky Terrace and agree with the majority of the reviews I have read on this website. I think the parking is good here and actually better than some places I've seen and the size of the townhomes are great. I am not sure of the maintenance staff because all the items that needed to be replaced or fixed have not yet been addressed. The seals around doors and windows could be a lot better. Overall the construction seems "okay.

I understand that the management has no control over the alleged crime that happens in this neighborhood, nor are they responsible for the damage that is caused by children of the residents. However, I do believe that they are responsible for their own professionalism, or rather, lack thereof. I understand that there are many townhomes here and a lot of work to be done. It is unfortunate for the person or company that pays for too many office staff members to do the job that gets done.

Every notice I have received from the office has been delivered to my doorknob with a rubberband and a staple. I hope that no letters have blown away or been taken by someone. I agree that notices regarding neighborhood cleanliness and pool issues can be addressed this way, but when it comes to my rent being delinquent because someone at the office thinks I have a pet, this is not acceptable. In my opinion it should be unlawful to leave such matters where they are visible to everyone. The last notice I received via doorknob was in regard to the
filter and patio inspections. This was so poorly written that I even laughed a little. I know the staff reads these so I have a question. The only reason I am addressing it here is because after reading these reviews and the responses from the office staff, I feel I may be "more closely watched" than another tenant.

If the dumpster is full, and I can't put my trash on the front or back patio, where should I put it' I will not keep trash inside my house for obvious reasons. If I recall I do pay a trash fee for that exact reason.

My townhome was also not in very good condition when I arrived and I have even found a few items left by the previous tenants. Of course these items and discrepanices were found after I signed and returned the move-in checklist so now I am responsible for them.

My plan, after I move out, is to contact the base housing office and suggest that they remove Sky Terrace from the approved housing list. The security gate is a joke. They did say great things about the neighborhood and the small deposit is great, but now these things seem like a ploy to bring you into the community and keep the units occupied.
Although the proximity to the TBS gate was a huge selling point for us, we now regret our decision to move here but cannot afford to go anywhere else. Also I will be contacting Hercules (the real estate company) and notifying them of the poor work ethic of the office staff, and general discontent of all
my neighbors and friends who also live here.
I will not recommend Sky Terrace to anyone I know and will do my best to discourage future residents from coming here.

Yes, the staff definitely could use a lesson in professionalism!
