I have lived at Sky Terrace for almost a year, I HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS with Arlene or Ashley or Ann, management is great, service calls are completed the same day. The reason I'm writing is because I stumbled unto this website and out of curiosity I began reading the reviews, to my surprise the negatism I read about Sky Terrace was a mixture of surprise and anger.

Let's start with the Gate issue: the management DOES NOT break the gate, it's a renter and/or kids... THE PARENTS LET THEIR KIDS GO OUTSIDE BY THEMSELVES WITHOUT SUPERVISION....I have had to ask a couple of children to stop playing hide and seek underneath a truck!!!! have asked a couple of kids to stop hanging on my tree and trying to rip a limb of the tree...I have had to ask kids to move out of the way so I can leave the property, they have actually been sitting on the pavement by the gate, they see cars coming and don't have the decency or respect to move...how is that the management's fault' from now on CPS WILL BE GETTING A CALL NOT the management!

Next item...when you come in to find out about living in this community, the management lets you know that if you are late with your payment your notice WILL BE PLACE ON YOUR DOOR KNOB WITH A STAPLED ENVELOPE AND HUNG WITH A RUBBERBAND. When you come in to sign your lease, management will go over the DO'S AND DONT'S of the community...SO why are you surprised when your attention is called because of your rent being late or your kids out of control in the parking lots' THIS IS NOT A DAYCARE... just because there is a gate it does NOT mean let your kids outside without supervision!!!!

now let's talk about the POOL....it is stated on your lease THAT YOU SIGNED, it is told to you in person at that time AND we got notices about it...not to let kids come to the pool by themselves. YOU as the parent is your responsibility NOT ARLENE'S OR ASHLEY'S to monitor your kids at the pool, hence NO LIFEGUARDS!I have personally asked about 10 kids to leave the pool area when I took my kids swimming. Why did I, as a renter, like yourselves, asked YOUR kid to leave the swimming pool you ask' BECAUSE YOU WEREN'T THERE TO WATCHED THEM YOURSELVES.

PARENTS TAKE RESPONSIBILITIES FOR YOUR ACTIONS...if your rent is late, management has to do what is required by their policies and supervisors to do....NOT BECAUSE THEY ARE "WATCHING YOU AND SOLELY PICKED YOU OUT". So your rent was late, we all hit hard times, don't blame "management" for doing their work. If your attention was called because of your children, get after your children and discipline them and teach them to have respect for other people and the property that is providing them with shelter WITH THE PAYCHECK THAT YOU are busting your behind, to give them a secure and safe place to leave..don't blame "management".
DISCIPLINE STARTS AT HOME!.

and now the DECAL issue....again when YOU signed the lease, remember again YOU SIGNED and were told that if you didn't have the decal your car will be towed away....guess what my car got towed away because OF MY CARELESSNESS in not sticking the decal on my windshield, NOT ARLENE'S OR ASHLEY'S. Everything in life has rules, you have house rules, your work has office rules/policies, the state has laws...what makes you think Sky Terrace is different'everywhere you go, whatever you do..you are dealing with rules...IF WE AS PARENTS DON'T DEMONSTRATE BY EXAMPLE, HOW THEN OUR CHILDREN LEARN TO RESPECT RULES''''''

In closing, if YOU don't like living here, then move, simple as that, quit your whining, quit your complaining, if you don't want the "infamous" white envelope hanging on your knob, pay your rent, if you want to enjoy the pool, volunteer to keep an extra eye out for unruly kids without parental supervision and send them home, I have volunteered so can you. Volunteer to sit outside with YOUR OWN KIDS WATCHING THEM WHILE THEY PLAY (not gossiping about the renters OR MANAGEMENT) and send home the ones that are unruly and disrepecful! You see, there are alot of things that we as a community can do to help eachother out and have a peaceful living community instead of putting the blame on the management that is doing their job. Go rent somewhere else or go be a homeowner.

I am a VERY happy resident of Sky Terrace, Arlene, Ashley and Ann are wonderful people.

This community could be an awesome place to live, if, instead of you finding all the negatives you could put all that energy and find something constructive to do instead of bad mouthing the very place you live and the people that gave you the opportunity to live in this community. BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T HAVE TO ACCEPT YOUR APPLICATION!.

I agree that most of the problems in the neighborhood are not a fault of the management or the renters who abide by the rules, inculding supervising their children and paying their rent on time. However, on more than a few occasions, I have witnessed the unprofessionalism of the staff and the management company. Unreturned phone calls and false accusations are not what I signed up for.
