From the outside it appears decent. Nothing special, but not bad. However, the people in the leasing office will not tell you about Garrison Woods right behind Sky Terrace. It is run down Section 8 housing. I go to sleep almost every night with Stafford County Sheriff's lights flashing in my windows. There have been several shootings since I've moved in, and I've only been here a few months. Once, after the shootings they jumped the fence into my back yard and ran through Sky Terrace to get away. It is also an open air drug market. People drive down Garrison Woods Dr. at all times of day and night with systems blasting looking to score. You can hear people walking around yelling and fighting until 3 or 4 in the morning. The area is very unsafe for families. I won't let my girlfriend walk alone in the area.
For what you will pay if you don't qualify for income restriction ($1330 for a 3 bed) you can get in Woodbridge something that is MUCH nicer. My GF's family pays $1400 for a 3 level 3 bedroom townhome with Garage. Don't know what else is available for 'income restriction' in the area. Keep looking.
I have a baby on the way at the same time my lease is up, I will NOT be renewing.

The ------- ----- SUCKS, she is -----------, why else would she work at a place like this. Try to get the ----------------- to handle stuff--what a joke. Rent somewhere else-you are much better off.

So, ----------, it seems like you are just complaining about Garrison Woods - which is a neighboring community that Sky Terrace has absolutely no control over. Instead of complaining - why not do something to change your surroundings?? When that criminal ran through your backyard, did you contact authorities and help get him aprehended? Or did you just sit in your comfortable, spacious maintenance free townhome and enjoy your complimentary intrusion alarm?? I think the latter is true. As far as management "sucking"....that's quite a mature description of a woman who's here every day doing everything she can for arrogant Marines who think they're owed the world. If you don't like how something is - CHANGE IT!! No place is perfect and you can't please everyone all the time. There's a Neighborhood Watch meeting tonight at Sky Terrace for residents who want to get involved and help make their community a better place...let's see if you're there!

You are correct, I am complaining about Garrison Woods, and the lack of information provided to me by the staff at ST. i.e. showing me a home on the opposite end of the property and not telling me I would be living right next to GW. When the criminals ran thru my back yard the sheriffs were called, and according to the news paper and the sheriff's website I believe 8 people have been arrested in connection with that particular incident. Please don't attribute other posters comments to me. It sounds like you work there. I have never called any of you "-----------". In fact the office staff have been helpful when I needed them, and I rated the maintenance and management very highly in my review as you can see. I do recommend that you stop calling your tenants arrogant, however. They have a job to do just like you, except when they go to work everyone tries to kill them and the people that they keep in business (you) hate them. Just an opinion from a former service member. I do plan to change my surroundings as soon as my lease is up. All I am saying is that the neighborhood is not very safe. That is my complaint about the property. If potential renters want to know about everything that is right with the property they can call you. But you are probably not a good source of what is wrong with it. That's what I'm here for. Like you said, no place is perfect. People just want to know what isn't perfect about your community. Now I've told them. The alarm system you spoke of is an automated service. You don't talk to an actual person when they call in response to an alarm. And they give you an option to "Just hang up.". Not very secure... If you found your dream home wouldn't you want the realto to tell you that your neighbor is running a crack house and the cops will be there every night? Wouldn't you feel wronged if they didn't? That's all I'm doing here. I feel that a review like this would have helped me make a better informed decision. And now potential renters won't feel like they weren't warned about what they are getting into. I just think that bullets coming thru my window and my neighbor being jumped on his doorstep by 3 men without any provocation are things that one shouldn't have to worry about at "north Stafford's newest luxurious rental townhome community". If you don't like it, or my opinion on my rental property, please, feel free to tear my lease in half and I will move out within 30 days.
