Not too shabby

Beware the first-apartment reviewers! I hated the first apartment I was ever in but, in hindsight, it was actually pretty good. This is the fourth apartment complex I've lived in.
I haven't had any real problems here. I live with my wife in a 1 bedroom apartment. It's a little small, which is pretty much the only reason we're leaving. Unless you're creative with your layout you can have either a dining room or a mini-office, not both.
The 1 bedroom apartment is laid out well, with the notable exception of the bathroom/laundry room. It's a nightmare to do laundry in the cramped room, and the laundry room and bathroom doors cannot be open simultaneously. This is still better than not having a washer/dryer, however.
We had considered a 2 bedroom, but the door layout is worse in the two bedrooms we saw.
We can, on occasion, hear our upstairs neighbor. It could be a problem if he was noisier, but we've been lucky.
The amenities are par for the course. There's a full-size indoor raquet court, which is exceptional. The pool is adequate for swimming short laps, but can be crowded with kids if you go at the wrong time. The gym is small and suffers crowding issues at peak time, just like the pool. We got a membership to the nearby (1.5 miles) Gold's Gym after we hit a string of busy machines. SROlYjGrgm2VnM-SactV

Yeah, I love it when people complain about the noise in apts. That's apartment living... deal with it! |
