I have lived here for almost 3, yes count them 3 years, and I don't know why I have stayed. Like the other posting, my apartment was not ready when I showed up to move but they let me in anyway telling me not to worry it would all be fixed. My major concern' The flooring coming up in the bathroom with the mouse dropping all over it and the mold growing on the baseboards in the bathroom!! I went to the office every day for a month after I moved in and they always told me the same thing..."it's not mouse droppings, we don't have mice." I don't care, somewhere along the line there were mice in that apartment, I know what mouse poop looks like!! It took them until I refused to pay my rent and resign my lease to come in and fix it!! And the maintanance man found a mouse in the water heater closet long dead, no mice my behind!! They did not fix the mold issue, only sprayed an adhesive on it to keep it from growing.
My neighbors are awful, one locks their screaming child in the bathroom at least three times a day and I can hear the guy upstairs every time he uses the restroom. Not very pleasant!! The staff has never fixed my broken dishwasher and I don't even bother calling them on my garbage disposal. It took the neighbor across the hall to get someone to come and look at the water heater in the breezeway that had been leaking into all of our ground floor apartments for two weeks. Now I have mold and water damage in my hall closet, wonder how much they'll charge me for that since their maintanence staff said they "didn't know what to do about that."!!!
And don't forget about the windshield smashing incidents and the slashing tires incidents that none of us were notified about. Or the time when they lost 2 buildings worth of rent checks and sent us all "Move it or lose it" letters with penalty fines attached. When the finally found them, was their any kind of apology' Absolutley not! And I had to fight them so they wouldn't put a letter in my file about a late/no payment rent!!
I am counting the days until my lease is up in March, if I had the money I'd go now and pay the penalty fees!!
