The few positive things I can say is that Cascades Overlook is a pet friendly apartments ,the landscaping is very nice and parking is usually not a problem. It is also located in a great place with shopping and lot of nice restaurants nearby. However, the list of negatives is much longer. The walls are paper thin and poorly isolated, windows are not sealing well so expect to hear everything in your neighbor's apartments and huge heating and AC bill. I moved into a 4 bedroom 3000 square feet house and paying less for heat and AC than I paid for 1 bedroom with den in Cascades Overlook. The trash compactors are far away and always broken; there is always a pile of garbage bags next to it so raccoons and squirrels can have a feast and spread all kind of diseases around. As another poster mentioned, the hot water heater is used for heating the air, so don't expect hot water in the shower for more than a couple of minutes in the winter. The maintenance staff is slow to respond and usually takes care of the small tasks, however don't expect anything major to be fixed properly. I had a mold growing on the celling in my apartment and reported it twice; all they did was paint over it so it showed up again the month after. On top of everything, they will slap you with all kinds of BS charges on move-out; I spent 3 days cleaning the apartment on move-out and 2 months later ended up with $300 bill mostly for wear and tear items, cleaning and trash removal. So TAKE PICTURES of everything before you move out so you can contest the charges later on, or even better, find another place to live to begin with.
