I've been here almost a year and I must say I am not thrilled with the place. The office people are not very friendly and the maint staff are even worse....They look very angry most of the time.
The complex needs to add more recycling bins around because there are only Two for Newspapers and Two for everything else. The same day the bins are picked up they are full again for a week and everyone just leaves stuff laying in the road. Very embarrasing when you invite visitors and they see what looks like a garbage dump in front of your apartment!
The rent is not the most expensive in the area but not the least expensive either. Especially for what we are paying for. The insulation in the apartments is the worst I've ever seen and therefore you pay a lot for Gas in the winter for heat and electric for your A/C in the summer.
The walls in the apts are thin so you get to hear all of your neighbors and their dogs constantly. I was awakened at 6:00AM one Saturday morning by a neighbors alarm clock that apparantly they turned on by mistake and this went on for at least 6 hours!
Parking is another issue. NOT ENOUGH!!!! Yet we still see constant memo's posted around about the threat of having your vehicle towed. For the money they are getting from this place the least they could do is find a solution to the problem.
This is supposed to be a gated community but the gate has not worked since I've been here. Which might be a blessing because I have a feeling if it does start working and then breaks no one will be able to enter the complex becasue of their delay in repairing it. THere just seems to be a lack of caring by the staff for the complex and some of the residents don't seem to care about their surroundings either...I'm already looking for a place to move to when my lease is up. I'm not accustomed to living somewhere that has such severe lack of class.
