I lived here for almost 2 years as when I relocated to Virginia this was the only apt. complex closest to work that had vacancies.
(Eagle Harbor, Carrollton, VA is now built and they are nicer.) If you go to view, INSIST!! on them turning the HEAT and the A/C units on in the model unit that they show you. The blower units are right in the apartment, overhead in the entry hall and are VERY LOUD!!!! I have to turn my Sony TV to max(20) volume whenever this unit is on and that's often. I think I have hearing damage. Also, beware of the LEASE AGREEMENTS, for any lease you sign you must agree to giving a 60 day notice to vacant PLUS a minimum 60 day termination fee if you leave prior to lease expiration, that's 4 months of RENT!! Depending on where you live in the complex, parking can be tight and difficult to find. The apartments are expensive as they are relatively new and they have few competitors in the area. (There's also a pool and clubhouse but they're usually crowded with kids.) I would opt for something cheaper in Portsmouth or the same price range but better quality up in Carrollton,VA, Eagle Harbor.
