Should be good with a cat

I've lived here a couple of years with my cat and I have had no problems with roaches. My other neighbors in the building who are also cat owners do not have any problems which makes me wonder if having a cat repels the roaches or maybe I'm lucky. Anyway I moved here because its the best location for the METRO and it's easy commute to Tyson's corner.

I find it hard to believe that ANYTHING would be able to repel those damn roaches. That place had thousands of them living in the building I was at. Maybe your cat ate the roaches before you had a chance to see them running all over the place. gross!

I agree the roaches at this place are unbelievable. I had never experienced roaches before moving here. I am very clean and am very particular about how my place is kept. I've used every repellent in Home Depot in addition to having Merrifield exterminate our entire building - these SUPER ROACHES continue to breed on, completely unphased...it is unreal! I can't wait to move out this Spring. Oh and the noise - don't move to Merrifield unless you don't mind the roaches and the noise.
