So, I responded to another post right before we moved in...the apartments are great. The one we live in is just way to freaking small for the price. If we had known I was pregnant at the time we wouldn't have moved into the 936 sq ft 2 bedroom apartment. We moved out of a 1200 sq ft 2 bedroom because, the apartments were horrible and the staff was crooked. Here, the staff is very nice. They have not changed since we've been here but, you never know. I am pretty upset with maintenance right now because, Ed, who was GREAT, friendly, on time, and courteous has apparently LEFT. Now, this other guy lied and said he came by to replace the air filter...which he did NOT because, we were waiting on him. The next day I asked for him to not come by until AFTER 2pm since I work from home. He came BEFORE 2pm while I was at work. Just rude if you ask me. The grounds are quiet at night no partying, some people have loud cars and just don't know how to drive them. There is apparently a high turn over rate as 5 people in the surrounding area have already moved out and we've only been here since February. We won't be renewing our lease most likely because, 1) we HATE Cavalier Telephone and DSL and you don't get a choice 2) we don't want DIRECT TV and you don't get a choice 3) they are just too expensive for such a small apartment...sure it comes with a garage...for one car...but, the apartments have major design flaws in them. We visited before we rented but, the apartment we ended up moving into wasn't available and we didn't get to see it before we moved in. Don't get me wrong my husband and I love the apartments but, everything else that goes wrong here just isn't worth it. The staff at Cavalier are just plain rude and you can ONLY call them...you can't call the main c/s # or they won't know what the heck you're talking about. Tech support is hard to get in touch with half the time...especially through the chat. The service is constantly intermittent anyhow. We have recently started smelling sulfur in our water and umm...we don't have well water...so hmm...could this be because, of the LANDFILL that they are messing with behind us' Oh and, they're in development of Avondale 2 behind this one where the large inert fill hole is...maybe they'll fix their design flaws then. I have tried contacting Ripley Heatwole (the property management co.) on several occasions regarding the issues we've had and they do not respond at all.
