The apartments themselves are remodeled with nice washer and dryers and new cabinets. That's about it for positives though! My husband and I moved here in May of 2007 sight unseen, what a mistake! The neighborhood surrounding the complex is terrible. There are constantly hoodlums and vagrants walking around, and making the grounds look bad because they leave trash everywhere! Since I have lived here, there has been one murder, my neighbors windshields were beat in with a baseball bat, and another neighbor was threatened by the drug dealer that lived below him with a gun when he threatened to report him! Everyday when I walk into the breezeway I see empty weed baggies and blunts on the floor, not to mention empty Steel Reserve cans everywhere! A few times I stepped out to see puddles of urine all over the walkway!!! I keep my apartment immaculate, but have had problems with roaches the entire time I've been here! This is all coming from the people who live in the ghetto townhouses which go throughout our complex, not anyone who lives in Baker Crossing. It is mostly military families who didn't know any better who live here! Also the office staff is very rude and unorganized. They have tried to charge me a late fee for not paying my rent on time when I had already paid them early and in full, they just forgot to put it in the computer! Also, they have tow trucks cruise the parking lot every night, I know 3 people who have been unrightfully towed, and Baker Crossing would not reimburse them the $125 for getting their cars released! They need to get security in here every night instead of the tow trucks! I would not recommend this place to anyone! We are moving next month, I can't wait to leave!
