I gave my notice prior to the required 60 days. I am now writing this because I just received my security deposit back, so I feel safe enough to let this fly. I have been in the field of apartments, and I am warning people now, don't waste a dime with any of these apartments. My downstairs neighbor was loud, loud enough that we have banged ont he floor, banged on his front door, and he heard nothing. Aked front office to let him know he was bothering others around him, still did no good. The hallbath tub surround tiles were falling off, and needed to be taken down and replaced, oh no, the maintenance did not want to fix it the correct way, they used caulking!! Mildew at that point was always an issue, and they new tub enclosure in the master bedroom has mold problems, because they never took down the old tile and drywall prior to installing the new tub surround! Now, not only did we have mold issues, now ants moved in. Like hot showers' So do I, but I was lucky if my husband, daugter or myself was able to get one because it was a crap shoot if you had hot water. Moving onto winter, you would be lucky if the heat worked, or a/c worked in the summer. Stove was falling apart, one burner never worked, dishwasher was way too old and did not clean like it was supposed to. Kids running all over the streets, this is however the parents fault, but the playground was always nasty looking, glass and trash everywhere. Afterhours maintenance calls are slow if they even show up. Front office does not keep good contact with the maintenance staff at all. Watch where you walk! Someone probably just walked their dog, and did not clean up the poop! We had a dog, and were responsable. I persoanlly do not like stepping in poop, and I did not want my neighbors stepping in it. But hey, pthers just don't care. Like parties' Well if you do, move in. You can almost catch a party going on until early in the morning! Grab a lawn chair and hang out, and enjoy a beer and a smoke! Don't worry about ashtrays, as there are plenty of areas you can toss your butt! Ok, I guess I will stop here. Save your money, your time and your energy. There are many other apartments that still are in the limits of the great nearby schools that your child would attend. The schools here are great, but the apartments are not.
