You can find somewhere better...

I lived at Banyan Grove for a while. The grounds are very nice, with lots of flowers and landscaping, but I don't know where the "garden" mentioned in one of the reviews below is located. Also, one review mentioned that you can stop in for a cup of coffee by the pool. Who does that' In the entire time I lived there, I never saw anyone go into the office for coffee, and the staff can be temperamental, so it's not a place you'd hang out.
The gym is pretty nice, but small and will often have several people in there (more than 3 and there is really no room for you). One problem I noticed in the few times I went was that the water jug is often empty. There are grills throughout the community, but inconsiderate residents often leave them crusted with barbeque sauce.
The apartments are small for the price, poorly laid out, lack adequate storage, are expensive to heat and cool, and your water bill can be over $75 because you are splitting it with other residents. It's not based on your usage. Don't let the staff convince you the neighborhood is safe. Look up police reports online if you have to before you move in. Use the street names. I can't think of anything serious that occurred while we were there (other than a scuffle outside and some petty thefts), but I would not go out at night if I didn't have to. The immediate around the complex is nice enough, but you only have to go a few blocks to feel insecure, even in your car.
Overall, if you are looking for a nice apartment and the location is okay with you, it's fine. But some of the previous reviews make sound absolutely glorious and perfect, and it's not. You should know what you are getting into. You probably won't have mold, rats, water problems, etc., but the apartments will probably be a tight squeeze for both your stuff and your budget, the parking is not great, and very few people use the amenities the previous reviews glow about. Check around before you make a decision, and I've heard the rental rates are lowering, so check on that too. You might get a better deal.

the garden... yeah that would be in the big court yard right outside the pool area... I have a friend who lives there and I like his place. I think that the person meant the court yard... maybe the word "garden" is a classy way of describing the many flowers and greenery planted all over.... a garden doesn't mean that there are vegetables growing there... maybe you should get out more and see what else is in your complex. I hang out by the pool with my buddy in the summer, and we get meat from the butcher and grill out, and i think i would like to move there when my lease is up on my place this July.

Didn't you say in your last review "My wife and I love living there?" Do you not live at Banyan Grove? Don't you have to in order to post a review here? Is it just a coincidence that every time a less than favorable review gets posted another glowing one shows up right behind it?

Um in response to this garden thing. I've lived here for about a year and I've been over to the pool area etc. There is no flower garden. There are a lot of flowers and greenery all over but it's usually not just the nice landscaping. Don't mislead people. There is an actual purpose for this site. Please give an honest view of the place. I've also found that when I used the grills that they were left dirty. It would be nice if apartment neighbors cleaned them after they were used and would try to put their trash where it belongs more (aka not outside their doors). But it does have a lot of great flowers etc.
