i've lived here about two months and for the most part I am loving it. Our apartment was freshly remodeled right before we moved in. We are the first to use our stove, fridge, dish washer... everything in the kitchen. They paint the walls a creme color.. so YAY NO WHITE and it's a neutral tone that matches everything. The light fixtures are also updated.
They may not be that beautiful on the outside but they are on the inside.
My complaints:
- walls are a little thin but it was built in the 1960's BUT they have a noise clause in the lease.
- Parking can be horrible, i wish they would address that issue and try to make the parking lot bigger but cutting back on some of the front yards.
- I have the smaller two bedroom and there isn't a vent that takes the drier heat outside, so I have to leave my bathroom door open so it doesn't get too hot in the bathroom and cause the paint to bubble.
- We had a small bug problem but they have an exterminator they call at their cost that comes out on Monday's and takes care of the problem, we haven't had any ants since he came.
Perks:
- 1 mile from the beach
- SET RENT.. no you pay 1,034 this month then 1,028 the next month.
- You can have COX internet and tv (my old apartment you couldn't)
- SPACIOUS, we have 200 square feet more and pay less.
- They let us pay our prorate and pet deposit at different times to help us out financially.
- They have a patrol in the area usually between 11pm-3am and will give you the number to call if anything is suspicious or against the lease
- FREE WATER!
- 10% off your gas bill.. our first month bill without the fees to turn it on was 4 bucks and we cook a lot.. The stove also cooks faster then electric.
- The sliding glass doors aren't cheap. My last apartment the door was so awful, the track was all dented and nonexistent and in this one.. it's brand new.
- Floor to ceiling windows, which bring in tons of light and my dog loves it.
- This place is very kid friendly, they have a kids pool and about 3 playground area's.
- The price for my apartment is 930 but with our pet fee it's 955.. for a two bedroom, a mile from the beach.. that's a really good deal I use to pay over 1k for a ONE bedroom 700 square feet and it was on holland and shipps corner.
- When we gave them our list of issues with the apartment... they came and fixed 9 out of 10 of them.. even one that was about the bathroom door sticking a little. My last place didn't fix one thing on our list.
PHOTOS:
the kitchen.. to the right of the photo is an alcove to put a table.. the cabinets are huge also and there is some above the fridge. OH yeah LOOK at the floor!
Inside of the fridge
Photo taken from about the front door looking at the hallway, the living room is not in the photo.
The other is the dining room you have outside of your ktichen(kitchen is also an eat in kitchen) it looks small but it's not.. but there's the lighting fixture
Photo taken from living room area to show you how big it is.. the front door isn't even in the photo.

Hi I am a looking to move to the Virginia Beach area and found your review about this complex very helpful. I noticed that you mentioned a small bug problem and that they were only ants, is that all that you saw if you don't mind sharing. I know its apartment living, but that's something I just can't deal with, bugs. Thanks!

No I've only had an ant, well there's your occasional spider (i'm on the bottom floor so it's more common) every apartment around here you'll get them. But the creepy crawlies, the complex will take care of.
Oh also people were talking about cars getting towed.. if you put your decal in the spot they tell you to (back window on drivers side) you should have no problems with it. I've only see a tow truck once and he has yet to tow anyone.)
But yeah for me with the bugs I have a can of the pet-child friendly and I have yet to use it and we've only had a couple spiders since move in which isn't all that bad. I still recommend you take a look around here their leasing officer is the larger two bedrooms they offer..and this is the cheapest you can find that you won't end up in harpers square
However if the money is really no issue then i would recommend I think it's called Willow lake.. that have 101% positive review and avoid waterfront apartments, that's my last apartment complex and they're just AWEFUL.. if money is an issue there are also several income restricted places in the area.
