My family and I lived at Brookside Village Apartments the entire time my husband was stationed in the Tidewater area (two-four year terms). This was like a second family to me, although I have seen the staff change over the years they always welcomed us with a smile and knew our names when we came in. I guess that's the benefit of living in a smaller community. The maintenance staff was very quick to fix any problems we ever had. We loved the location and how easy it was to access the interstate but at the same time we were tucked away back in a quiet neighborhood.
