I have lived in Chapel Lake Apts for about 2 years now. I've only lived there that long because I don't want to go through the hassle of moving and don't want to pay another apartment a security deposit and all that stuff. The maintenance is terrible. If you leave a message for something to get fixed, plan on leaving about 3 more before anything gets done. My place is now filled with mold because they took so long to fix a water leak in the utility closet. Parking is alright. I don't know if it is the same for all of the units but for me to break the lease I have to pay 1700 bucks. They continue to raise the rent every year but show no improvements, well except for the 42 inch plasma screen TV they have in the office. The model that they showed me when I moved in was of course really nice and then I get to my apt. and it is a piece of crap. The kitchen floor is stained and looks yellow, they refused to replace it. The windows have a bunch of white film on them to the point that you can't see out of them. There is about zero insulation so plan on running your heat or AC all the time to try and stay comfortable which equals high electric bills. I could go on and on. Oh, and in the whole apartment complex there is about 6 sex offenders. I know that's not their fault but still, shows you the quality of the place. DON'T MOVE HERE!!!!!!

Maybe if you had better credit you would'nt have to pay a deposit where ever you go! As for my apt it heats and cools just fine...you must not know how to set your heat or air. i feel sorry for the next apt complex who gets you as a resident!

Most places require a deposit unless you are military and can be in the RPP. Anything owned by the Breeden Company is a dump. Credit or no credit..the breeden company sucks. I won't even shop at plazas that are owned by them because I have been screwed by their disgusting excuse for apartments.

I ardently agree with your complaints about temperature and maintenance taking a very long time to respond to most issues. I think there's no insulation in the ceiling and no soundproofing either. However, I didn't have to pay a security deposit and we're not in the RPP. So maybe they like me better or I came at a more dire time. Either way, when my lease is up I'm outties. |
