The office staff have been nice, and the location is pretty good, but the place is overpriced for what you're getting.

I have a first floor apartment, and my biggest issue has been noise from the upstairs neighbors. I can hear them talking, STOMPING on my ceiling (which creaks loudly even if they just walk normally), opening and closing doors and the worst issue - their washer and dryer makes my bedroom ceiling thump and vibrate so hard that I've had things fall off the walls! It wouldn't be so bad if these people were on a normal schedule, but it lasts all night long because the guy works shifts. Surprisingly, we hear no noise from our next door neighbors.

This is not the place to live if you don't want to hear every detail of your upstairs neighbors lives.

The other major issue has been maintenance. Our electricity was going out every time the people above us started their washer and dryer, or when we turned on our washer, heating/cooling unit, computer or television.

I filed three complaints, the maintenance guy made me wait a WEEK with sporadic electricity, and when he finally showed up he told me the issue was probably that someone had spilled something on the plug and there was nothing he could do about it.

I ended up calling a private electrician who immediately diagnosed the problem as loose wiring. I asked the maintenance staff to tighten the wires and was told there was "no way that could be the problem, because we checked all the outlets."

I was 4 months pregnant and had to crawl around my house tightening all the wires - as soon as I found the loose connection, the problem went away. In my opinion, they never even bothered to check and just lied to cover their asses.

That sounds typical of my experiences. The place is a nightmare dump. Just wait until you move out and they bill you thousands of dollars for replacement of your carpet/fridge/dryer. In fact, before moving out, require them to produce the asset history of your unit to try and cut off disputes before they happen. They tried to bill my husband and me $1600 for carpet damage we did not cause, but after reminding one of their collections agents of the useful life of carpet, they grudgingly reduced the amount to $600. If I lived closer, I would have taken them to court.

We have the same problem with our electricity. We just stopped using that outlet (the one in the hallway next to the dining room. I would plug the iron in and the dining room light would flicker and dim. The iron would go idle for a minute and the light would brighten again. I have been shocked a few times just from using the outlets here. I posted a review back in July with some crap. I will definitely get an asset history of the unit because the kitchen appliances are older than me...I swear! LOL With previous mold in the fridge and a dishwasher that leaves SAND on your dishes. Where the sand is coming from I have no idea. Took them over a week and 2 phone calls to come fix our hot water faucet in the tub. They just walk right in without permission (I was home working in my pajamas). Luckily, our carpet was just put in so if they try to tell us that they have to replace it...well, they will have to eat the carpet costs because this carpet is still good for many more years.

Wow, maintenance just walked into my apartment when I wasn't home.... even though I was supposed to be on that list of tenants who don't allow maintenance in their home without them present. They peed on my floor and left my front door unlocked and open. I was furious, and the management just called me a liar and had my locks changed. Like changing the locks will help when their shady maintenance people still have a key - it was ridiculous.
