I moved in back in 1996 and just moved out. Anytime I had a complaint they always did their best to correct the issues. I did however have 4 seperate times of flooding. 1 due to rain drain that flooded the entire apartment and the 3 other were due to water heater from upstairs and the bathroom from upstairs. But each time they were right there to fix and rapair the issues. Carpet was replaced when these items occured and phone calls were always made to verify the work was done and all issues were taken care of. The office staff and maitence were always friendly and in my opinion prompt to fix the issues. I have never been unhappy living at chapel lake. Very safe and friendly place to live. No parking issues because there is plenty. Jet noise is high...But come on we live in virginia beach. Jet noise is in just about every neighborhood and no they dont fly all night. 2 to 3 hours max thu out the day. If Im ever in need of another apartment I will come back to chapel lake and I will strongly refer anyone I know to this great community.
Its really bad to see all these complaints and no positive remarks. Most of the complaints here I believe are just vindictive because of folks either being kicked out for noise,non payment etc. I have seen alot of that over the years and unfortunaltey this is the society we live in today. Everyone has to complain and noone wants to Say great things. Well I stating That chapel lake is a great place to live and I will be telling anyone I know that if they are looking for a safe and friendly place to live then they should look at chapel lake.

That's a load of crap. This is obviously someone from the leasing office.Me and my husband left a bad complaint on here and we were not kicked out...in fact we were begged to stay but refused. There may be plenty of parking in the front but who in their right mind wants to park all the way up there at night if they live in the back. The parking lot is poorly lit and there are several sex offenders living there including a convicted rapist. LOOK IT UP!!! You people are so stupid.

I beg to differ with you. Im not employed there I lived there from 1996 to 2009 just moved out at the end of sept.I have never had any issues that several folks put on here. Parking... you get one spot and yes you pay for a 2nd but thats to keep the community near their apartments and not for friends of others to hog all the spots. All my friends either parked in the overflow parking out front or the half drive thru or on my 2nd spot. I cannot tell you how many times I had someones car towed from my spot. The parking lot is set up great and I thinks its lit up fine. As I stated earlier. I will refer all I know because its a great community and the staff is really great too.

I also disagree. Ive been left to walk home nearly half a mile in the rain, after dark by myself because there were no spaces left. Parking is horrible after 5 everyday. On top of that we were promised sercurity from 8pm - 6am every night to escort us to our apartment if needed. He is RARELY there. He drives back and fourth between Chapel Lake and his other complex... in Chesapeake, leaving several hours throughout the night without security. I feel uncomfortable. In addition I not been kicked out nor ever paid my dues late and still have issues with this complex for several other reasons. Maintenence orders take 2 sometimes 3 weeks to even get answered, another week before anything is actually taken care of. Katie is one of the most unpleasant employees I have ever dealt with and at times has been very rude. The Jets fly at least 4-5 hours throughout the day, certainly not to 2-3. For what youre charged every month.. its not worth it.
