I moved in here June 2005. BIGGEST NIGHTMARE of my life! I had to move here sight unseen because we were coming from out of state. the Military housing center 'recommended' us here.
When I walked in, carpet ruined, burned filthy and flea ridden. doors broken leaky facuets etc.
The manager continues to ARGUE with me about the pronounciation of MY own name! And she gets rude when I state how to pronounce it! Its as easy as Smithfield. Its pronounced the way it looks!
The maintnenace comes in and spends more time looking busy then actually working. They laid me new carpeting after I went in the office many many times. The old nasty linoleum was never pulled up, just new laid over it. (unsanitary)
I thought the walls were tan, but in reality they were white, just so stained and nasty. I demanded they be cleaned or I was filing a lawsuit.
My outside light never works. VERY dark and hazardous at night.
When my garbage disposal fell off due to the horrible wood under the sink, i had to call them for a week straight.
THEN when they FINALLY came, I was in my bedroom just out of the shower. The knocked and walked in. I stayed quiet and threw my clothes on. i HEARD them going through my cupboards and drawers. They even helped themselves to a soda. I walked out into my dining area and said "I hope you enjoy the soda did you find anything useful in my cupboards'" They both jumped and stammered an apology to me.
They never clean the bird dropping from the constant pigeon problem year round.
ALSO They put a notice on my door about 'pet droppings' in the yard. I DO NOT EVEN OWN AN ANIMAL!

wow my husband and I are moving there we are also military and thankgod I read this because I want nothing to do with this apartment complex

i am sorry you are going through the same things my husband and i went through. our roof was leaking and they actually game my house key to the roofers they knocked once then placed the key in the door when i ran over there and said WHO IS IT!!! i was so nervous to let three men into my apartment when they had no papers saying who they were and the office hadnt called me to say i should expect them. needless to say the roof still had a large water spot on it when we moved out I HAVE PICTURES OF ALL OF THESE THINGS I WOULD BE GLAD TO SEND TO ANYONE!!! JUST EMAIL ME PLEASE DONT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF MOVING INTO THIS COMPLEX!!!!
