My Fiance and I moved in to a downstairs 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment in Chase Arbor October 1, 2007. We have had a few minor problems, but none that many that other reviewers have mentioned. We request repairs when need be, and have not had any problems getting them taking care of. The maintainance staff is generally polite. I will add that they do require some supervision to ensure that they do some tasks properly, rather than a quick fix. There are some minor cosmetic problems with our apartment, but nothing that would prompt me to move. Our appliances (except the dishwasher) are older, but not exactly out dated. Everything works. The carpets are relatively new, but poorly installed. There is some fraying in some places, but I stopped that with simple superglue. I have noticed no mold. However I will say that because the windows are old and do not seal properly in some places, some water does leak in in heavier rain storms. If the water is left on the window sills there is some mold/mildew growth. That is easily prevented though. My biggest complaint is about the electical outlets. They are old and loose. Many of them will not hold a heavy cord. It would be nice to have them updated. Parking is good. We have two cars and rarely have a problem getting our usual parking spaces, no matter what time we return home. The only interaction we have with the office staff is usually when we pay the rent, or the occasional work order. I would not say that the office staff is over friendly, but they are certainly not rude. We have never had a problem with our neighbors, loiterers, or crime of any nature. Overall, I will say that we pay a reasonable rent for a reasonable apartment. Of course, this has been our experience, and I understand that there are many other people that have has less pleasant stays at Chase Arbor.

I appreciate you leaving a somewhat pleasant comment about a craphole place.... but you are really doing a disservice to the community by giving them a recommendation and bringing their percentage up. There is no way shape or form this sham of a business should still be running it puts Virginia Beach to shame and should be torn down. If Chase Arbor really expects people to pay that amount for those apartments that are falling apart they should start over with new apartments and staff. They are extremly lucky they have not been sued over their incompitence. Dont be fooled by one good experience out of many bad ones. You are a lucky lucky person that you are the rare one that didnt have the actual chase arbor experience. I always had fun avoiding the mounds of dog poop and mold and the cops always at the apartments. I miss the staff blaming me for their mistakes and losing checks 6 times in two weeks even when i had a receipt and confirmation from the manager..... Stay far away from this hell hole

Actually, I've had a nice experience with Chase Arbor. My fiance and I moved in recently from NJ. Its pretty quiet; I feel that my car is safe; our unit is nothing special, but nice. I have found no major faults with the place.
