I fulfilled one lease at Columbus Station. I was in a one bedroom that had a nice open floorplan, but was in average condition. The appliances were old: the dishwasher didn't even have a place for JetDry and had teal racks inside, and the washer/dryer were old and didn't work well. In fact, if I had to wash something nice, I took it to my uncle's house instead of risking ruining it in my own apartment. The office staff turned over a lot in just the year we lived there. Only Kristeen (or however she spells it) stayed the same. They did have nice parties at the pool though. For rent that high, I sort of expected something in return. Speaking of the pool, it sort of weirded me out. I heard the lifeguards and maintenance talking about how the carpet around the pool had mold growing all over it (they said its the black spots you see) so I didn't go down there much after that. Maintenance sucks, and insults your intelligence. I called about my appliances not working well and of course they found no problem. The problem was their age. So, they left my instructions on how to use them, as if I hadn't been doing my laundry and dishes for years! That's when I stopped calling maintenance for work orders unless it was an emergency. Additionally, don't plan on getting all of your deposit back unless you basically never lived in your apt-they'll find someway to charge you; they have a problem with squirrels getting into the attic above the top floor apartments in the winter; and the shrubs around the parking lot & the lack of outdoor lighting make the grounds really dark and scary at night. The good parts: being close to Town Center is GREAT, I never had a problem with bugs, and it's centrally located to most of the things you'd want to do. In my opinion, you should spend the extra money to live in the new Cosmopolitan, or Columbus Station should lower their rent to be competitive in an area where everything else is nice and new.
